Babylon Part III - Rude Awakening

Pre-Game Axis forces have shown up to the Mesopotamian area with a real sense of piss and vigor. The marines continue to be pushed back from a majority of the landing zones for the coming air invasion. Mack and Bazooka Joe had escaped into the desert after some really cool events that could be used for a movie that I am not allowed to talk about in this battle report. It's all very hush hush. Their escape would give the Allies the advantage of knowing the Axis were making moves and looking for something, but they did not know when and where the true hammer blow would fall. Early the next day, the sound of Axis Junkers and air raid sirens would confirm the Allies's fears. The occupants of Outpost Doghouse knew their day was about to get much more exciting as they grab their gear. Thankfully, Machete Mack, Bazooka Joe, and their surviving marines managed to make it to the base in time to warn them that the storm was coming and they were on high alert. The ironic part being, f...

Meet the Staff - Dust 1947 USMC Demolition Squad

I may do all the writing around here, but I am not the one running around shooting and blowing stuff up. I leave that kind of stuff to the experts. I have noticed that when it comes to the Dust 1947 game there is actually surprisingly little information out there when it comes to paint jobs and tactics. I decided to try and fill that gap like a WWE wrestler coming into the ring, but lets be honest it's more like a high school wrestling match. I would attempt to help alleviate some of this issue with some tactica discussion and insights that I see in my local meta (mostly my living room). This is all my personal opinion and in no way should inform you on what is going to help you take over the world of super-competitive game tables, but maybe I can give you an idea you didn't think about. Who better to start with than the tip of the American (Allied technically, but still mostly American!) spear, the United States Marine Corp. Semper Fi! USMC Demolition Squad Da Good ...

Babylon Part II - The Chase

Pre-Game After the defeat at Outpost Whiskey, Machete Mac decided that he would need to retreat and regroup if he was going to push the Axis out of this area of Mesopotamia. Rommel knew that the damage was done and that pursuing with the entirety of his force would only complicate things later. He decided he would send Christoph and a strong, quick strike force to dismantle or destroy anything that could pose a threat later to his plans. Rommel knew that the paradrops would be happening soon and he needed this area secure for the eventual Allied counterattack. The constant sound of howling wind was starting to grind his patience. Sgt. David Miller almost wished he could hear the sound of an Axis walker coming down on his position then have to sit in solitude or dig a hole with the sound of the sand moaning around him constantly. What could the sand around here possibly have to complain about? Thankfully, Gunnery Sergeant MacDonald, or Machete Mac as the news reels like to call him,...
